Using specific language to express what you're experiencing.
Sometimes, we struggle with self-awareness because we don't have the language we need.
**Specific words can help us identify what we're experiencing.**
Consider consulting an emotion wheel to identify some of what you're feeling. The Psalms model this practice for us - the psalmists used vivid, specific language to express their joys, sorrows, fears, and hopes to God.
Write a Psalm that expresses your current emotional and spiritual state to God. Use specific words to describe what you're experiencing.
