Tips for Success

As I wrote Daily Reflections, I was thinking about your busy schedule. That's why each one is short - but hopefully powerful.

To squeeze the most juice out of each lesson, here's what I recommend:

1. **Before you read each reflection, open your heart to God in prayer.**

1. **Create a designated space and time** for these daily reflections.

1. **Decide if you want to respond in writing:** with a journal, a computer, or a tablet. Have these tools ready to go.

1. **Eliminate distractions.** Turn off your phone.

1. **Share your reflections with a friend.** When you feel comfortable doing so, share your thoughts on each one.

1. **Once a week, revisit what you reflected on earlier.** See if you've changed your mind or had new insights.

1. **Don't worry about being perfect or thorough.** A little bit of engagement in God's word is better than nothing.

1. **Stay simple;** focus on what helps you grow in your faith.

1. **Be kind to yourself:** there's no rule that says you have to complete all the prompts.

1. **Skip the prompts that aren't interesting.**

1. **Feel free to adjust a prompt** to better suit your situation - or come up with your own!
